A surprisingly good game, with balanced mechanics and combat. Full of depth. Only sometimes frustrating.
So here I was, days before my birthday, but not allowed to purchase and play the games I actually want to (Ghost of Tsushima or God of War: Ragnarök) because I gave put them on my b-day gift wishlist that my wife always ask for and, like magic, I end up being gifted by either her or my friends.

A delightful little game that has been sitting on my Steam library for I don’t know how long.
It is easy to see why it is such a classic. So many interesting gameplay ideas implemented with simple controls: directional and 2 buttons, jump and action.
Still on the “doing so much with so little” topic, there is also an interesting story being told during the bloodshed playthrough.

Wow, how did I play this game for so long? I don’t know, the game loop of hunting and bringing down machines is entertaining enough (but so it was on the first game too), and I hopefully kept on going, looking for that spark of magic that made me fall in love with Zero Dawn.

A byte-sized review for a byte-sized game.
I grabbed this one for free from Epic as I was quite interested on its typing gameplay.
You wander around mounted on a fox, typing words to either decorate or unblock your path, or to beat enemies during combat sequences that proved somewhat challenging and quite engaging.

For a long time I have wanted to keep track of the games I played and my opinions on them. Both for the sake of keeping some sort of log, and to send to friends, when I get asked about game suggestions.
Too bad I didn’t start earlier, but there is no point trying to change the past (as most time travel games seem to agree on) and better now than later. Or never.
After having loved the first game and finding it a impressive show for a small studio, this sequence is a bag of mixed feelings to me.
